Is there any real rhyme or reason for picking one candle over another? Many types of candles exist: pillar, taper, jar, votive, shaped, and in many different materials such as soy, bees wax, paraffin and more. Companies also differ in the way they formulate their products. Are some better than others?
When it comes down to it, there are several factors influencing your decision. Once you start to think consciously about them, it will become an easier task to choose. Ulitimately, there are better quality candles than others. They may burn longer, use more of the wax and in the case of scented varieties, have stronger, better quality scent. Why doesn't everyone just demand the best? Price comes into play. In a perfect world, we'd all be able to afford the best of everything all the time.
